Mosquito Prevent is an Insect Growth Regulator– prevents mosquito larvae from growing into breeding, biting adults.
2. Is it harmful to mammals and humans?
The active ingredient in Mosquito Prevent is target-specific, so it has less potential to harm affect aquatic organisms and mammals. Data indicates an extremely low probability for toxicity to humans and mammals, and it poses very little hazard to non-target organisms when used according to label directions.
3. How is it applied?
Just sprinkle the granules evenly over the surface of the water you’re treating – there’s nothing to mix or spray.
4. How much do I use?
1 teaspoon of Mosquito Prevent will treat approximately 211 sq. ft. of surface area of water (less than 2 feet deep) or 780 gallons of water.
• 1lb. container will treat up to 8,712 sq. ft.
• 2.5 lb. container will treat up to 21,780 sq. ft.
5. Where can it be used?
Mosquito Prevent can be used in any areas of standing water where mosquitoes may breed, including bird baths, flower pots, rain barrels, ornamental fountains and ponds, farm ponds, animal watering troughs, and other water-holding receptacles .
6. How long does it last?
It lasts up to 21 days based on labeled coverage rates.
7. How soon before the mosquito larvae die?
Mosquito larvae enter the pupal stage in 7 to 10 days – Mosquito Prevent stops them before they can enter that stage.
